Every Video Game Release Coming Soon For Xbox Series X|S And Xbox One
As the Xbox Series X/S approaches its one-year anniversary, the console's library is beginning to take shape. As studios become accustomed to the power of the ninth generation consoles, more games will come out that push Microsoft's platform to its limits. Each year should conceivably result in better games than its predecessor, but that doesn't mean Xbox owners do not have anything to look forward to in 2021.
2021 has already produced some great Xbox games, including Resident Evil Village, Hitman 3, and Death's Door, and there is still plenty of gaming to be done before 2022 comes around. Regardless of whether someone's console of choice is an Xbox Series X/S or an Xbox One, they have plenty of new releases to look forward to. What Xbox Series X games are set to drop in 2021 and beyond? What upcoming games justify keeping the Xbox One around?
Disclaimer: Please note the focus is on the North American release dates of Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One games. Expansions will also be listed.

August 2021 Games
August 2021 has been a solid month for gaming. While most of the month's biggest releases are not new properties, they do bring with them significant enough additions to be worth getting excited over. Assassin's Creed Valhalla's The Siege of Paris DLC adds a new chapter to Eivor's story, while Marvel's Avengers, Maneater, and Mortal Shell are all making waves in August.
Hades is now available on the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One; as an added bonus, this fantastic roguelike game is available through Xbox Game Pass. August 2021 is also not lacking in new releases either. Psychonauts 2 is a massive deal as people have been waiting for a sequel to the cult classic platformer for more than a decade. The same can be said about King's Bounty 2, while EA's Madden NFL 22 certainly has its fans.

September 2021 Games
Currently, September's lineup matches its predecessor in terms of quality, with a number of highly anticipated games scheduled for the month. WRC 10, Tales of Arise, Lost Judgment, Aragami 2, and Life is Strange: True Colors are all (direct or indirect) follow-ups to great games; in fact, True Colors' Ultimate Edition will even include remastered versions of Life is Strange and Before the Storm, although those have been delayed until 2022.
The open-world Sable looks great and Ghostrunner's PC version is a blast, so hopefully the same will hold true for the Xbox Series X/S release. Sports games like NBA 2K22 and FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition will also debut during September 2021. Outer Wilds will also be released a DLC called Echoes of the Eye.

October 2021 Games

This month, Ubisoft's Far Cry 6 will be taking players to the Caribbean, while Battlefield 2042 will be transporting gamers to the future. Square Enix's Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy could very well be a must-play for superhero fans. November 2021 Games
After dominating two generations, Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 will look to do the same with the Xbox Series X/S and PS5. By this point, GTA 5 and GTA Online are inescapable, and Rockstar's juggernaut IP is unlikely to lose steam anytime soon. Although details are still scarce, it should be interesting to see how Rockstar takes advantage of the new console's superior hardware. Forza Horizon 5 will be heading to Mexico, as Playground Games looks to continue the series' brilliant run of games. The year also won't feel complete before Ubisoft releases a new Just Dance game.
November 2021 also contains the one game that matters the most for a huge selection of people: Call of Duty: Vanguard. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Vanguard marks a return to World War II for the franchise, a setting that has worked well for the IP before. The game will also include a new mode called Champion Hill, which will be playable in Vanguard's Alpha.

December 2021 Games
With the shopping season in full swing, players will need to know exactly what is on offer in December. What games could make great gifts for the holiday season? Techland's Dying Light 2: Stay Human will certainly be a contender for the month's most talked-about release. The snowboarding game Shredders is also expected to drop in December. Halo Infinite will be the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One game of December 2021, with the first-person shooter debuting on the 8th of the month.
Once this month is done, everyone will look back at the previous year to determine the best Xbox Series X/S games of 2021. Will it be Psychonauts 2? Forza Horizon 5? Or, maybe a title that has to be confirmed for 2021?

Major Games Announced For 2021 That Have No Release Date
2021 is well over the halfway mark, so one has to assume that most of the year's biggest titles have already been announced. That said, there are still plenty of games that are slated for a 2021 release but have yet to specify a date. With each passing month, the odds grow that these titles will be pushed back to 2022; however, that might not be the case.
Saber Interactive's Evil Dead: The Game looks set to be a fun celebration of the iconic horror franchise and a solid addition to the PvP market. Shadow Warrior 3, Evil West, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl are just a handful of other games that could drop by the end of the year.
