Diablo 2: Resurrected Queue Times and Server Issues Are Out of Control
Server issues for Diablo 2: Resurrected have been making the game unplayable for players, including those attempting to play offline due to periodic need to validate that a copy is legally owned. As a result, players have taken to any forum available in order to vent or share their personal issues with Diablo 2's server issues, often looking to gain the direct attention of Blizzard as they voice their complaints.
This isn't the first issue that Diablo 2: Resurrected has faced since it launched, adding to the frustration as consistent issues compound onto each other. Some players on consoles fortunate enough to not have to deal with these queues, such as those on PlayStation, have so far managed to avoid some of these issues, but the problems appear to be spreading quickly.
With players already upset with the state of Diablo 2: Resurrected, the most recent issue comes from the addition of queues that have left players waiting for hours according to some anecdotes online. Often times, even players that do manage to get through the queue find themselves disconnecting quickly after and being sent right back to the same screen to wait all over again. The result has been players sharing memes in the kindest and most comical complaints, and making rage-fueled claims across any online forum that doesn't have a profanity filter to stop them in the worst cases.

In one particularly comical case, one player turned the several hours that they waited in the queue into a "relaxing/ambient noise" video on YouTube that lasts a full five hours. This specific video does appear to spliced together several queue attempts together, so this doesn't necessarily mean that someone was actually waiting in line for the entire five hours. Regardless, these loadtimes have become a serious point of concern for many players and have resulted in fans calling out Blizzard specifically for the failure of this attempt to fix Diablo 2: Resurrected's connectivity issues.

It would be naive to assume that Blizzard is watching these issues and doing nothing internally to remedy the issue that is keeping players from engaging with Diablo 2: Resurrected's online activities. Considering the recent hits the developer has taken to its reputation, this type of kickback coming from one of the most successful titles in the company's history is certainly something that will be addressed. However, at the time of this writing, Blizzard has yet to respond directly to the outrage from fans and give even a flexible timeline for when the serve issues and queue will be brought to a more managable state.
Diablo 2: Resurrected is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
