5 Characters You'll Likely Never See in Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 is nearing the end of its first Kombat Pack, with Joker releasing next month and then Spawn in March. Sometime after that, Kombat Pack 2 will release, reportedly containing Sheeva, Fujin, Ash Williams, and potentially Stryker. While there are plenty of characters to choose from to fill out these DLC packs, there is simply too many characters to ever see all of them in the game.

As such, many will likely get cut to run with more fan-favorite or otherwise specific Mortal Kombat 11 characters. Who makes the cut or who doesn't remains to be seen, but here are 5 characters we wouldn't hold our breath for.

Sadly, Mileena—a clone of Kitana complete with Tarkatan Blood and Edenian physiology—is likely the most popular character on this list who won't be seen in Mortal Kombat 11, despite heavy fan requests. That doesn't stop director Ed Boon from trolling fans about Mileena though, frequently making posts on Twitter and even teasing her with the Terminator DLC character. Including her would make sense as a reward for these trolls, but given her death in Mortal Kombat X (despite the time-traveling mechanics of MK11) and how often she is used to troll players with, we wouldn't hold our breath.

Perhaps the least likely character to ever join another Mortal Kombat roster is Mokap, a motion capture actor/fighter with an extensive knowledge of martial arts. His gimmick is that he is always in the wrong place at the wrong time, and despite being treated canonically in the past, he's never been much more than a gag. He hasn't been seen since Mortal Kombat Armageddon, and considering how many consider him one of the worst characters in Mortal Kombat's history, it's not likely he appears any time soon.

Although Meat has a few cameos in Mortal Kombat 11, he's too much of a gag character like Mokap to ever really be considered as a DLC character. It is worth mentioning, though, that Meat's role as a canonical fighter or gag fighter was heavily debated for some time, before receiving an official backstory in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon in that he was a horrific experiment by Shang Tsung that managed to escape. Like Mokap, he's one of the least popular characters in the franchise and including him as a DLC character would surely do more harm to the fanbase than good.

Havik is the only Mortal Kombat series playable character to ever hail from Chaosrealm, and as such, many may actually welcome Havik into the fold with open arms. Beyond a cool origin story and design, he is neither good nor evil, just a Cleric of Chaos, yet while that may be the case, Havik also died in the Mortal Kombat X comic series. As such, while it's not impossible that he return, Havik finds himself in the same boat as Mileena when it comes to likelihood.

Blaze was teased across several games before officially being revealed and named, and is one of the most powerful beings in the Mortal Kombat universe, said to be able to cause Armageddon by devouring existence itself. Yet, despite this (or perhaps because of this), Blaze has no role in the current timeline. That makes introducing a being so powerful now anti-climactic. Of course, Mortal Kombat 11 is the end of this timeline's story, so for Mortal Kombat 12 and beyond, who knows what's in the books.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
