Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode gets an open beta on PC – here are the release times
August 20, 2018 Treyarch has confirmed when to expect the Black Ops 4 Blackout beta.
Black Ops 4 is going to offer an early look at its battle royale mode, Blackout, and now we know exactly when the PC beta is going live. Everyone will have access to the open beta on September 15 at 10:00 PDT / 13:00 PDT / 18:00 BST. That’s less than a week after the launch of the PlayStation 4 beta, so we won’t be kept waiting long for our look at Call of Duty’s take on battle royale. The console version is exclusive to pre-orders, while the PC beta will be open to all on that September 15 release date. However, if you do pre-purchase Black Ops 4 on Battle.net, you will get access to the beta 24 hours early on September 14. This teaser does also confirms the same modes of play as the PS4 version, as expected. You’ll be able to hop into Solos, Duos, and Quads when the mode launches. No, that’s not a typo - the largest group mode is indeed a “quad,” drifting ever so slightly away from the nomenclature PUBG and Fortnite have popularized. Otherwise, it’s what we’ve come to expect from the genre.
