Borderlands 3 trailer shows Amara’s skill tree
Borderlands 3 is going to have a Twitch extension called ECHOcast, which will let you inspect a streamer’s loadout as you watch, and get extra loot from playing along while streamers open special chests. That’s all well and good, but the announcement has also brought some glimpses at the interface, giving us some idea of what to expect from weapons and the new skill trees.
The trailer for ECHOcast shows one of the skill trees for a new Vault Hunter - Mystical Assault for Amara. Amara’s other two skill trees - which aren’t detailed here - are Brawl and Fist of the Elements.
The top item on the tree is Phasecast, which sends out an astral projection that deals damage as it runs forward. This is labelled an ‘augment’ in the UI, and the shape of the skill’s icon lines up with three slots shown at the bottom of the screen. Other shapes on the skill tree fit with those slots on the bottom, so it seems this is how you’ll be strategizing your build.
