Breath of the Wild Player Beats Game Without Walking | Game Rant

Every once in a while, content creators all over the internet remind us that there really are no limits to what players can accomplish in games, given enough time and commitment to the bit. Recently, a player managed to beat Breath of the Wild with one of the craziest restraints possible, outclassing even the fastest speedruns and challenges others have accomplished.

The player in question, a Twitch streamer who goes by Pointed Crow, has built a name for himself in the past performing incredible challenges in Breath of the Wild. Pointed Crow has beaten the game with a number of challenges, such as never turning left, only using bows, and performing a shield only run of the game.

Pointed Crow's latest challenge involved playing Breath of the Wild from start to finish without ever walking at any point before Calamity Ganon has been defeated. While walking wasn't allowed, jumping, backflipping, and paragliding is allowed within the run. However, without the ability to properly walk around and dodge incoming attacks, this no walking run does require an intense level of combat skill in order to make it all the way to the end.

The run itself is fairly short and skips a number of Breath of the Wild's dungeons and shrines, choosing instead to head straight to Ganon in Hyrule Castle and finish the game as quickly as possible. This is nothing new for challenge and speedruns, as most players looking to complete the game with these difficult restrictions often go for the end right away. Although, some runs do choose to make a few extra stops on the way, like finding and petting every dog available in the game before challenging the final boss and still coming out on top.

While some players have been taking strides with challenges and mods to bring realism to Breath of the Wild, Pointed Crow has been breaking every convention of the game as he plays. The videos of the challenge runs, like the no walking run, are available on the Pointed Crow YouTube channel and viewers can tune in live to see him complete these challenges in real time on his Twitch channel. Along with the challenges and impressive runs are also a number of videos that comb through the limits of Breath of the Wild by pointing out glitches and funny observations.
