Call of Duty Mobile New Season Disavowed is Live, Adds Cage Map and More
On March 1, Call of Duty Mobile's Season 3 left in favor of a new season dubbed "Disavowed." This update offers tons of new content in the form of weapons, Credit Store gear, returning game modes, a new map, and a new battle pass.
The two modes reintroduced into the game are Warfare and One Shot, One Kill. However, while these two modes will be returning, Disavowed will remove the Zombies game mode from CoD Mobile for the foreseeable future.
Warfare works as a Battle Royal type of game mode that pits two teams of 20 players against each other; the last team standing wins. OneShot, One Kill sets players up in a free-for-all match and provides each of them with a revolver and three bullets that can instantly kill anyone they're fired at, with the first player to rack up twenty kills winning.
The new map is called "Cage," and it's Call of Duty Mobile's first-ever original battlefield. It takes place in a contemporary construction site with three lanes that favor close-quarters engagements.
The developer of the game, TiMi Studios, describes the map as an ideal place for fast-paced battles. It provides "perfect cover" due to its verticality, so players need to be constantly aware of their surroundings, lest they allow someone to get the jump on them. That said, there are plenty of places throughout the map where players can take up tactical advantages. Additionally, Call of Duty Mobile's Credit Store received an update. As of right now, players can earn the following:
- Scorestreak: MQ-27 DRAGONFIRE
- Shotgun: HS0405 - Ukiyo-e
- Assault Rifle: AK-47 - Metal Note
- Assault Rifle: AK117 - St. Patrick's Day
- SMG: MSMC - St. Patrick's Day
Disavowed will also introduce the first female operator in a battle pass through a character named "Urban Tracker." Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series protagonist John "Soap" MacTavish will join her, and be unlockable via an earlier tier. Along with these two characters, the battle pass will also include multiple new weapons.
Speaking of which, The Hive Operator Skill also arrived with Disavowed. It's a Specialist Weapon first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and it will, more or less, function the same in Mobile. Its ability to release deadly pods makes it both a great defensive and offensive weapon as players can use it to cover choke and entry points or to eliminate opponents directly.
Call of Duty: Mobile is available now for Android and iOS.
