Resident Evil Fan Creates Amazing Box Set Concept | Game Rant
It's no surprise how beloved the Resident Evil series is, but fans are taking it to a new level and creating ideas that consumers are begging to become a reality. With Resident Evil 3 being remastered and set to release in early April, fans are creating their own Capcom-worthy content to bide their time.
Reddit user, and artist, TheKosmicKollector posted a mock box set that has fans mourning that it isn't a real product. The image includes every Resident Evil game listed in numerical order from 0-7 and also includes Revelations 1 and 2 towards the end. One user inquired why both Revelations were towards the end to which TheKosmicKollector replied that it was to keep numerical consistency.
The stunning box art is simple, yet enticing, and begs the question of why video game franchises aren't sold in sets. Several Blu-ray box sets have released for fans of hit movie and television franchises alike, expanding fan's collections and giving them a resource to better understand the series. Fanart like TheKosmicKollector's might be the key to getting developers to release all-inclusive products like this.
TheKosmicKollector has posted a few other fanmade Resident Evil posters much to general acclaim. Not long ago he created a stunning poster for the Resident Evil 2 remake that went over gangbusters on Reddit. Several fans of the poster have sent requests and urged Kosmic to make more posters, which may have influenced them to create the box set. TheKosmicKollector does, however, plan on making similar posters for each game in the same style.
As of now, a box set for the Resident Evil games is not officially in the works, but players can still score some incredible deals going on now for PC and console gamers alike. Resident Evil itself has been making waves lately as Capcom appears to be remastering and remaking all of the original horror games.
Whether or not Capcom is remaking every game in the RE series is yet to be seen. Rumors abound that RE8 will be remade in the coming year and more information from a famous Resident Evil leaker is said to come after the release of Resident Evil 3 in April.
The Resident Evil 3 remake is scheduled to release on April 3, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
