Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Where is Zipper? | Game Rant
By now, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have probably noticed some changes to their islands introduced as part of the Bunny Day event, an in-game holiday meant to coincide with Easter. While the event introduces plenty of new content, including a heap of Bunny Day DIY recipes, it also introduces a new resident– a yellow bunny named Zipper T. Bunny.
Zipper is hard to miss, to put it lightly. The bunny is bright yellow, wears overalls, frequently speaks in rhymes, and appears to be another villager in a suit. In some ways, Zipper is deeply unsettling, with a look that could easily fit into Five Nights at Freddy's were he to ever fall on hard times. However, he's a key character for the Bunny Day event.
Zipper can be found roaming the island, but not always. The bunny is only able to be found on April 1st at 5 am until April 2nd at 4:59 am for the beginning of the event, then again on April 12th and 13th between the same times. Those hoping to time travel to meet Zipper are out of luck, as the Switch has to verify the correct time online before being able to launch the event. However, Zipper will send players who missed him on the first day a letter containing the recipe for the bunny bed.
On April 12th, players will be able to exchange eggs with Zipper for the final day of the event, allowing them to finish up any Bunny Day recipes they may have missed. Zipper has promised a special prize for players that are able to craft all of the Bunny Day recipes, though it isn't clear what that will be quite yet. Hopefully, though, it will be something useful.
The Bunny Day recipes are very egg-themed, so players may not get that much use out of them in the long run, except for egg enthusiasts. However, the Bunny Day event does give players something to do, though it certainly isn't for everyone. Those not interested in the event may want to set their Switch's clock to a different date. Some consider it cheating, but it may be better than the alternative.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
