Fortnite: Where Are Shanty Town and The Orchard and How to Apply Shield or Healing
A new batch of Fortnite Location Domination challenges are now live, and indeed a great deal of XP awaits those players that complete all of them. One of the new Location Domination challenges that may be throwing some fans for a loop asks players to apply Shield or Healing at Shanty Town or The Orchard in Fortnite, and this guide contains all of the information that is required for completing this task.
Before getting into how to apply Shield or Healing at Shanty Town or the Orchard, it is worth mentioning that there are actually three stages to this Location Domination challenge in Fortnite. To complete the first stage players will need to apply 100 Shield or Healing, to complete the second they will need to apply 250, and to complete the third they will need to apply 500. Before they can do this, though, they will need to know the exact locations of Fortnite's Shanty Town and Orchard.
The find Fortnite's Shanty Town players will need visit the west edge of the map. More specifically, Shanty Town's location is directly to the west of Slurpy Swamp and to the north of The Rig. Players can find a map highlighting this location below, and once a player arrives at Shanty Town they should simply hit the various barrels to advance the challenge to apply Shield or Healing.
Fortnite's Orchard is not particularly close to Shanty Town, and players that want to use this location for the apply Shield or Healing challenge should turn their attention to the northeast end of the map. That is because the location of The Orchard in Fortnite is directly north of Frenzy Farm, as seen in the map below, and fans should eat the apples found there to progress the Location Domination challenge.
With respect to the other Location Domination challenges, they are all relatively straightforward and will have Fortnite players visiting locations like Sweaty Sands and The Shark. While the multi-part nature of these Fortnite challenges means that fans will need to put in a bit of time to complete them, those players that make the effort should be able to finish them all and earn their XP.
Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
