Pokemon GO's July Spotlight Hours Revealed | Game Rant
Niantic has released a new update telling fans about new updates they can expect in Pokemon GO for the month of July. Among the new notes, the Spotlight Hours for the next month and which Pokemon will be featured during those times were released.
Pokemon GO has been getting new content, and even though many people are staying home due to the coronavirus, Niantic is making sure that there is a lot for players to do like the Bug Out Event that is currently going on. With July comes special new events and raids for fans to take advantage of during the month and beyond.
The recent announcement from Niantic showcased the new Pokemon GO Research Breakthrough encounter and also revealed the new Spotlight Hours. These hours will take place every Tuesday in July starting at 6 pm the player's local time. These hours will spotlight different Pokemon and special bonuses during the time they are active.
On July 7, players will see Taillow in the spotlight and they will be able to earn twice as many Candies as normal from transferring Pokemon. July 14 shines the light on Zubat and gives players double the experience points from evolving their Pokemon. July 21 will feature Oddish for the hour and allow players to get two times the amount of stardust from catching Pokemon.
The final Spotlight Hour will be July 28 with the Pokemon of the hour being Buizel, and players will earn twice as much experience from catching Pokemon as normal.
Niantic has also announced that Kyrurem will be added to five-star raids in the game, allowing players to battle the legendary Pokemon on their mobile phones. With the anniversary of Pokemon GO around the corner, Niantic is giving fans a lot of ways to celebrate the summer in the game.
With all these new announcements being unveiled, fans have exciting content to look forward to in the upcoming month with cool events like the Pokemon GO Fest. While some players may have a harder time getting out to play during this time, there are now more adventures that players have available to them on their mobile phones that they can take wherever they go.
