Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets Closed Beta Launch Date
Microsoft Flight Simulator's development is proceeding on schedule. The development team at Asobo is happy to report that Microsoft Flight Simulator development is ready for the next step forward, with that being the end of the sim's alpha testing and the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator's closed beta.
According to a recent routine developer update, the closed beta for Microsoft Flight Simulator will go live on July 30. Alpha testers will be granted instant access to beta and a new wave of invites will go out to Xbox Insiders went out today.
It's unclear how long Microsoft Flight Simulator's closed beta will go on for. The alpha test has been ongoing for nine months and is continuing via the now released Alpha 5. While closed beta isn't likely to last near as long, as the game's content is likely nearing completion or already complete, Asobo is certain to take its time. Microsoft Flight Simulator will launch when it's ready.
As with previous community updates, Asobo took to the time to take the community's feedback and put it into a snapshot that can be shared with the developers. From the Top Alpha Issues, it's clear that much of the feedback is being corrected as developers are able. Since Asobo is moving into the polishing stage of development, these issues are likely to be a major focus in the closed beta. Microsoft Flight Simulator is already gorgeous, but it's only going to get better.
Microsoft Flight Simulator launches in 2020 on PC.
