Shadow Warrior 3 Confirmed With Trailer | Game Rant
Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital have officially announced Shadow Warrior 3 with a brand new cinematic teaser trailer featuring Lo Wang in his classic, fast-paced style. This comes only days after the Shadow Warrior Twitter account teased the "filming" of the teaser trailer, quickly priming players to anticipate the next entry in the series.
The reveal came ahead of the Devolver Direct where the developer has previously hinted that there will be a trailer releasing along with gameplay footage. Considering how little gameplay was featured in the teaser, a full trailer of the first-person, free-running carnage will be a welcome sight if it looks anything like the cinematics that have already been shown off.
In classic Shadow Warrior style, the teaser trailer opens up with Lo Wang walking through a forest as he exposits his every move, complete with meta-commentary on the game and its developers. At one point Lo Wang winds up even name dropping both Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital as the studios' names appear on-screen. With the gunplay, katana, and agile combat, fans would be excused to mistake this for a Deadpool game, although the updated graphics and heavily inspired atmosphere, it may be better than the last one of those players got.
Fans of the series are now rightfully excited to see if the Devolver Direct debuts Shadow Warrior 3 gameplay footage to go alongside the teaser. Between the Sekiro style grappling hook, gun, and strange electrical spell being cast towards the end of the trailer, it looks like this latest title is looking to enhance on a lot of the different mechanics from previous games. However, fans still don't know exactly what it will look and feel like when playing until the gameplay trailer hinted at in the teaser is finally released.
Shadow Warrior 3 also isn't the only game that Devolver Digital is looking to bring back to life with an incredible new trailer to prepare to revive more fan favorites. Previously, a Serious Sam 4 trailer announced the revival of another franchise under the guidance of Devolver Digital, as the developer seems dedicated to updating cult classics into the modern era of gaming. Of course, until players get a chance to get their own hands-on either of these games, how relevant they will be for modern and Next-Gen gaming is still completely up in the air at the moment.
