All Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Pre-Order Bonuses and Special Editions
Back in June, THQ Nordic happily announced Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, which is the long-awaited remaster of the iconic game that is set to receive enhanced visuals together with all the original DLC. However, the developer revealed last month that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has been delayed to September 8, 2020, which is just a few weeks from its original release date of August 18, 2020.
To the uninitiated, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is the upcoming remaster of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which is a 2012 action-RPG that earned favorable reviews from critics but failed to perform from a commercial standpoint. In 2018, the rights to the game were acquired by THQ Nordic after ending a lengthy legal battle between the state of Rhode Island, Curt Schilling, and 38 Studios. Now for those interested in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, here are all the details about its pre-order and special editions.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is now available to pre-order for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One at most major retailers. At the time of writing, it doesn't appear that the game is offering any bonuses for players who will pre-order the game, but this article will be updated if it changes before release. Nonetheless, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is priced at $39.99 on all platforms.

Apart from the standard edition, THQ-Nordic also unveiled a Collector's Edition of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, which is currently priced at $109.99. It is worth noting that most retailers are already out of stock of this special edition, but it wouldn't be unlikely for stocks to be replenished before the game launches in September.
Of course, given the collector's edition's massive price jump from the standard version, THQ-Nordic included tons of collectibles for players to enjoy. Inside the collector's edition for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning are various trinkets such as a 21 cm tall collectible statue of Dokkalfir rogue Alyn Shir, who is a non-playable character in the game. Additionally, this special edition also contains the game's soundtrack, a keychain featuring the game's logo, and five postcard-sized pieces of artwork. The collector's edition is also available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and players will get a copy of the game for whichever platform they choose.
Apart from these amazing collectibles, both the standard and collector's editions of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will include all of the original game's DLCs. To the uninitiated, that includes all the original pre-order content, several promotional contents including a pair of daggers for playing Mass Effect 3, and every premium DLC of the original game. These DLCs include new quests called The Legend of Dread Kel and Teeth of Naros.
Of course, huge fans of Kingdoms of Amalur would know that a remaster of the game has long been rumored only for nothing to materialize until THQ Nordic acquired the rights to the game. However, the big question that fans are probably wondering now is whether or not THQ Nordic has any plans to continue the franchise in the future. Of course, it is pretty hard to predict this at the moment, given that THQ Nordic would probably want to observe how the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning would fare commercially first, before announcing any plans for sequels or even extra DLC.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is set to release on September 8, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
