Call of Duty 2020 Teaser Site Brings New Information To Fans
The Call of Duty 2020 crate opening was viewed by thousands of fans thanks to Noah and his team of streamers, who worked hard to solve the puzzle within fans waited impatiently for the trailer of the next Call of Duty game to be unveiled. The path ended with a website, and on that website was a clock displaying the date August 14, 2020 and a computer that has been turned off.
Since then, fans who followed or just discovered the Call of Duty 2020 crate promotion have been dissecting the site and analyzing every line of code and hidden image to be found. It is not known exactly when, but sometime in the last 12 hours, the site updated. Now, mysteriously, there is a small sticky note attached to the screen reading only "/tangledweb."
The page discovered held copies of all the slides scattered amongst a desk. A letter is in center frame, which seems to be addressed to the reader directly. It discusses how this was only the first piece of many, presumably towards the official trailer, and how it is all part of the game and fans should "relish the journey." References to codes and ciphers are scattered about and it seems to be urging fans to be patient. The bottom of the page holds a famous quote from Sun Tzu's Art of War: "Every battle is won before it's ever fought."
What all this means is unknown but fans are sure to be studying and dissecting this image until the August 14th Call of Duty 2020 tease arrives. There is no telling what secrets the new page holds be it a cipher within the message itself or something else hidden amongst the smallest detail.
Call of Duty fans have been solving puzzles back since the first game launched. Call of Duty: Black Ops and its Zombie mode have been filled with complicated Easter Eggs, secrets, and ciphers with ever new game adding in a new challenge for fans to solve. The next challenge may be even harder than the Call of Duty 2020 crate mystery.
It almost feels as if fans have been trained for years to prepare for this set of challenges. Noah and his group may have solved the first puzzle in less than a day but this message seems to be challenging that victory. "While some battle can be won swiftly, others will take days to unfold." This line stands out as Activision slowly releases information, the next puzzle might stretch out over several days of hardcore sleuthing and puzzle-solving.
Call of Duty 2020 is in development by Treyarch and Raven Software.
