PS5 May Struggle with 4K, Suggests Insider | Game Rant
The release of the PlayStation 5 is one of the most widely anticipated gaming events of 2020. The console has been teased for a long time, and now, the official launch of the PS5 is just a short few months away. However, some troubling news from a reliable source has many fans concerned for what's to come.
While the PS5 has been shrouded in mystery for several years now, it wasn't until the official PS5 reveal event that fans really started to get excited. With a wide range of console exclusive games, sleek accessories, and an interesting, yet memorable, console design, many in the gaming community were left incredibly excited for what's to come. Though, now thanks to word of a reliable leaker, some disconcerting news regarding the console has come made light.
A Twitter user by the name of Aesthetic Gamer has correctly leaked a lot of insider details regarding Capcom's flagship title for next year, Resident Evil 8, many details of which were not made public until the reveal trailer that occurred during the PS5 reveal event. Thus, many others on Twitter tend to take the user's words rather seriously.
In response to a question asked regarding how well the PS5 will be able to keep up with Capcom's graphics engine, Aesthetic Gamer explained that while the game would run fine at launch, the user had heard from other developers saying that the PS5 tends to struggle with 4K games. PlayStation 5 sales will likely still be rather high regardless, but for those who value graphics and frame rate quality, this is definitely not good news.
It's important to note that all of this is merely conjecture. As of right now, there's no actual evidence that points to the PS5 struggling with 4K quality games. In fact, the PS5's GPU was compared favorably to the cutting edge RTX graphics card, so it seems somewhat unlikely that the PS5 would struggle in terms of performance in any capacity.
In terms of the feud between the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, this has been going on since the seventh console generation. With every subsequent year, PlayStation and Xbox were constantly at odds in terms of dominance within the gaming hardware industry and things have not changed since then. Between the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, many within the gaming community are conflicted, despite the fact that it's projected that the PS5 will outsell the Xbox Series X within the first few months. Only time will tell.
The PlayStation 5 is set to launch during the Holiday of 2020.
