Fortnite How To Hack Robots at Stark Industries | Game Rant
Fortnite players are getting an influx of Marvel-themed additions this season. From Ant-Man's super-sized miniature playgrounds to Thor's hammer and Wolverine's claw-marks, players have had the opportunity to encounter a substantial number of Marvel entities throughout Season 4.
With Stark Industries finding its way onto the Fortnite map, players now also have the opportunity to explore the mega-rich genius's research center. Aside from valuable loot and a shot at fighting Iron Man, Stark Industries hosts a number of robot guards. Players can take down these guards for weapons like the Stark Industries Rifle, but if they opt to hack the robots instead, they can earn a helpful teammate.
Despite the presence of Stark Robots at Stark Industries, Season 4 has also given players a chance to encounter the bots at any of the Quinjet Patrol landing sites on the map. Every match, four black jets will fly off and disperse across the map as Fortnite challengers skydive. Once they land, the Quinjet sites appear on the map as small white airplane silhouettes.
Each of these Quinjets will arrive with a small defense squad of Stark Robots (and multiple flying loot-drones). These Stark Robots can be hacked just as well as those defending Stark Industries, and may even offer a more convenient landing site if a player's lucky. However, players who haven't gotten the chance to unlock the treasure-filled vault at Stark Industries may want to give Iron Man's base a shot first.
To hack a Stark Robot, players need only approach it while it's "downed" (just damage them until they crawl) and hold the Square/Y/X button (PS4/Switch/Xbox) for several seconds. The tricky part is staying safe while hacking a robot - much like when applying bandages or shields in Fortnite, players are completely vulnerable while hacking.
If the hack is successful though, the Stark Robot becomes an incredibly handy teammate. In fact, players challenging Iron Man in Fortnite may want to consider going into battle with a few robot bodyguards. The Stark Robots will not only harvest materials for a player, they will also fight on their behalf.
Players should also take note of the fact that there doesn't seem to be an upper limit to the amount of robots that can be hacked. After eliminating one or two for a powerful Stark Industries Rifle, players should certainly be safe enough to consider hacking any and all other robots. Players already need to hack a robot for the Season 4 Week 4 Challenges, so they may as well enjoy the harvesting assistance and general protection too. Besides, it's admittedly hard to deny the urge to build a Stark Robots army.
Fortnite players should take advantage of these robots to help them stay safe as they explore all the new Marvelous additions brought by Chapter 2, Season 4. With a few Stark Robots trailing behind, a player can breathe a bit more easily as they check out dazzling new sites like the Sentinel Graveyard. Or at the very least, bot-guards will alert them of any approaching threats.
Fortnite is available now on the Epic Games Store, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
