Jump Force Adding Character From Yu Yu Hakusho | Game Rant
Yu Yu Hakusho is a manga and anime series, with many fans gravitating towards the show, and although it began back in 1990, it still has a following today. And now, one of the characters is headed to the roster of Jump Force.
Hiei of the Evil Eye is joining the likes of Naruto, All Might, Trunks, Luffy, and Yugi Muto in Jump Force. Hiei, which means flying shadow, is one of the main characters from Yu Yu Hakusho.
Hiei is not the first character from Yu Yu Hakusho to be a part of the Jump Force roster, with Yusuke Urameshi being a large presence in the game, along with Younger Toguro. Hiei is certainly a welcome addition to the game, as many fans have been asking for more representation from Yu Yu Hakusho.
The DLC character was revealed via a tweet from the official Bandai Namco US Twitter page, along with some pretty slick looking images. Hiei will be available later this Fall as DLC, with Nintendo Switch Jump Force owners needing to wait a bit longer until 2021. Hiei's relentless "take no prisoners" approach to fighting should be a fun addition to Jump Force. His elemental resistance, super speed, and remarkable power all look to be on display in the screenshots from the fighting game.
For anyone who has never watched the anime, or for those who may feel inspired to go back and rewatch after this announcement, Yu Yu Hakusho is available to stream on Hulu. Many remember watching the anime on Toonami, so it is very much exciting to see more members of the show join other Shonen Jump characters in the fighter.
Jump Force Deluxe Edition is now available on the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
