Watch Dogs Legion Gets New Recruitment Trailer | Game Rant
With the second rendition of the Ubisoft Foward event underway, new information is being revealed about some of the games that will be released for next-gen consoles like Xbox Series X. One of these games is Watch Dogs Legion, and Ubisoft has released a new trailer that dives into greater detail about the game's recruitment system.
During the Ubisoft Forward presentation in July, Ubisoft revealed some of the characters that players could invite to join their team in Watch Dogs Legion. The gaming company gave some insight to the improvements of the flexible Watch Dogs Legion player character system that the game brings to players. Now, there's a new trailer that shows off this mechanic in fuller detail.
The new trailer shows how players can recruit various characters to their teams in order to help save London. In the video, Ubisoft shows the player character hacking into various characters' online profiles, showing off their different skillsets. The first character shown is Dan McCleary, potential getaway driver with chase drone immunity and the ability hack vehicles.
After his vehicle hacking ability was shown off, Ubisoft moved on to Elena Tomczak, who can use her hacking skills to shock enemies and steal keys at any distance. The next character showcased was Teresa Hall, a street artist who uses a paintball gun as a weapon and throws paint bombs to disorient enemies.
While showing off these characters and their unique abilities, the trailer also gave players insight how to recruit these characters. Basically, the player needs to talk to potential Watch Dogs Legion recruits to find out how to prove the cause that the player is fighting for is just. Once the player helps them, the characters will join the team and use their abilities to help out on missions, should the player choose to send them out.
Though the player can recruit a wide range of characters throughout the game, the trailer also reminds players that some characters may not be well suited to certain missions. As an example, the video shows that a hitman may not be as subtle as a stealth mission in Watch Dogs Legion may require them to be.
With this closer look at Watch Dogs Legion recruitment, fans can get a better idea of the potential resources at their disposal when playing the game. A variety of customizable characters will give players multiple different ways to approach missions in the game when it is finally released.
Watch Dogs Legion launches on October 29 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. The game will then come to the Xbox Series X on November 10 and the PS5 at a currently-unknown date.
