Call of Duty: Warzone Player Wins Gulag Fight Despite Insane Visual Bug
Whether it was a matter of luck or skill, one talented Call of Duty: Warzone player managed to win the Gulag despite all odds.
Some fans of the game are going through a rough time now that the nerfed weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone affect individual playstyle. However, Call of Duty: Warzone is still going strong and players are making the most out of the situation and enjoying the game for what it is.
Many fans frequently talk about one their memorable moments in the Gulag. One of the most recent stories involves a streamer who managed to take out his opponent even though a visual glitch covered up most of his screen.
The user goes by JoeDeLuca, better known on Twitch as "Merk," who posted a highlight video of himself entering a match in the Gulag to reclaim his spot in the game. When Luca bends down to grab a snack, he notices a strobe of bright flashes taking over the entirety of the screen. Luckily, the Call of Duty: Warzone bug only seems to happen when he switches to one of his weapons; and he can still see everything clearly if he uses his fists.
This doesn't seem to bother Merk, though; he is completely unphased by the situation, as one can tell by his reaction. Merk takes advantage of the situation by skillfully switching from his hand to the weapon to navigate the area. When the other player hits him and makes the first move, Merk uses the indicator to tell which direction the shot came from. It seems he spun around and fired at his opponent with a shotgun, successfully killing the opponent with one shot.
There is a lot of debate in the replies to the video commenting on whether or not Merk knew what he was doing, or if he was just lucky and the other player was completely new to the game. Judging how he composed himself and still managed to get the kill, there is more evidence leaning to him showing off his skillful Call of Duty: Warzone gameplay. Either way, this is a great video that shows how a player can overcome any situation by remaining calm and collected. Hopefully, this sort of thing doesn't happen to Merk again, and he can keep playing games the way he wants to.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
