Fortnite Afterlife Party Concert To Feature J Balvin | Game Rant
Fortnite's in-game concerts have become some of the hottest online events to attend. Epic Games goes above and beyond to ensure in-game concerts are spectacles unlike anything gaming has to offer, so every newly-announced concert like Fortnite's upcoming Halloween Afterlife Party is worth paying attention to. Epic has upped expectations for the Afterlife Party, announcing that reggaeton singer J Balvin will be the headlining act.
The event will take place within Fortnite's Party Royale mode at the Main Stage location. The "party" officially begins on October 31 at 6:00 p.m. PT. J Balvin will be premiering his new song "Sech" during the show, as well as playing his "biggest hits," but there's currently no information regarding how long J Balvin's performance will be, or any other details. On the whole, Fortnite concerts don't tend to be particularly lengthy.
For those who aren't able to attend the J Balvin concert when it debuts, Epic Games will be holding several rebroadcasts at later dates. Two rebroadcasts have so far been announced, the first on November 1 at 10:00 a.m. PT, and the second on November 1 at 3:00 p.m. PT. These rebroadcasts will also be held at the Main Stage location in Party Royale mode. For those who can't join in-game, the Houseparty mobile app will have a live viewing of the premiere and rebroadcasts.
Because no concert is complete without some merchandise, Epic is offering a special Party Trooper skin for purchase in-game. This is a limited-edition skin that will only be on sale through November 1 at 5:00 p.m. PT. What's special about the skin is that those who wear it during one of the Afterlife Party showings will unlock an exclusive J Balvin style.
The Fortnite Afterlife Party is part of a bigger event named Fortnitemares, which is running from October 21 through November 3. This event revolves around the in-game character Shadow Midas taking over The Agency headquarters location, leading to the creation of a special Midas' Revenge mode in which dead players fight on as shadow creatures.
Epic Games delivers all sorts of content for its Fortnite players around the holidays. Midas' Revenge and the Afterlife Party with J Balvin are just the latest example. There's truly nothing like Fortnite available on the market, which is in-part why musicians like J Balvin take the opportunity to do concerts in the first place, and players will no doubt be there to enjoy it while it lasts.
Fortnite is available now on some Mobile devices, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
