Destiny 2 Dungeon Granting Solo Triumph While with a Team
Destiny 2: Beyond Light, the newest expansion to Bungie's MMO-shooter, is in full swing. Meanwhile, Season of the Hunt just began this week, offering players a new activity and rewards to chase. Even though there's a lot to dig into regarding new content, players are still finding time to enjoy legacy activities. According to numerous reports, fans are discovering that a Dungeon's solo-only Triumph is able to be completed while in a fireteam.
Destiny 2 introduced Dungeons a couple of years ago. The activity is a cross between a Raid and a Strike, offering relatively challenging encounters to a fireteam of 3. However, every Dungeon so far has had coveted Triumphs associated with it for completing them solo and solo flawlessly, which means a full run of the activity with zero deaths. This is one of the more popular tests of strengths in the game, and it offers unique cosmetic rewards.
The bugged Dungeon in question is the game's first, called Shattered Throne. It was introduced during Forsaken, and although the power level of its rewards has now been capped below the seasonal limit, the activity still poses a challenge. There seems to be a bug introduced in the Beyond Light update that grants players the Triumph for completing Shattered Throne, even if they're in a fireteam.
Some players have reported that it didn't work when they gave it a shot, while others have said that the solo completion Triumph was only granted to one person in their fireteam. It could be that those who didn't receive the Triumph were simply unlucky and another person in their fireteam got the Triumph. Nevertheless, the player who collects the achievement seems to be chosen randomly, and doesn't need to be the fireteam leader, for instance.
Outside of bragging rights and the Triumph score, players also receive a unique emblem called The Eternal Return when they complete Shattered Throne solo. There is also another Triumph for completing Shattered Throne solo flawlessly, but it doesn't have any unique rewards attached to it. Regardless, this bug only seems to give players the Triumph for the solo completion and not any of the flawless ones. It's anybody's guess as to when this bug might be patched. There is still another Dungeon available right now, Pit of Heresy, which also might have a similar bug attached to it, so it might be worth taking a look.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
