Hunt: Showdown Shirts to be Sold Based on Fan Vote | Game Rant
Hunt: Showdown is a game with some of the more stylistic artwork out there. Crytek is looking to take advantage of this with a March Madness bracket-style tournament of the shooter's best-looking traits; the winner will be on a Hunt: Showdown shirt.
Hunt: Showdown's Trait system works very much like perks in a shooter like Call of Duty. The Traits give Hunters small physical and tactical advantages, like being able to sprint for longer (Greyhound) or being able to revive a downed partner from a distance (Necromancer). Hunt: Showdown veterans will know that the Traits are where some of the most creative artwork in all of gaming is found, and these Traits will soon be on purchasable t-shirts.
Players can vote on their favorite looking Traits and the final four selections will be made into t-shirts for any fan to buy. The Trait art is both gorgeous and horrifying. Players can vote on if they'd like to see the Serpent Trait, which looks like a mile-long human Snake with a giant orb in its mouth, on a shirt; or the Hornskin Trait, which looks like a pig roast with an overweight human face, for example. Hunt: Showdown takes place in the bayou in the late 1800s with fictional horror elements, and the Traits match the theme excellently. Video game merchandise is continuing to find its place in pop-culture, and these shirts are the newest example.
There is a lot to love about Hunt: Showdown, and the art style is high on that list. It is exciting for fans that they will be able to purchase apparel of this game, and doubly neat that they get to communally pick the artwork that will make the cut. With the votes just getting started, Necromancer and Frontiersman look to be dominating and ready to move on to the next round. Meanwhile, Determination and Whispersmith are less than 20 votes apart.
Hunt: Showdown is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
