Destiny 2: How to Get Bottom Dollar Hand Cannon | Game Rant
The latest season for Destiny 2 finally arrived this week bringing the Cabal back into the spotlight after their role in the Red War campaign. Inside of Season of the Chosen, players are going up against Empress Caiatl after a failed alliance between her Cabal and the Vanguard. It's now up to the players to put a stop to her from growing her war council by taking part in new Battleground activities against her chosen warriors.
Naturally, a new season also means new loot. Those who have purchased the season pass get immediate access to the exotic solar energy bow Ticuu's Divination, but Bungie has also added a ton of legendary and rare gear to acquire as well. Some of it can be earned from the return of Umbral Engrams through the Prismatic Recaster, while others can be found by participating in strikes.
With over 25 new weapons added into the quickly growing loot pool in season 13, one weapon in particular has seemingly captured the attention of many Destiny 2 players. The energy hand cannon known as Bottom Dollar is extremely sought after, but getting it has proven to be a bit more random than previously thought.
As of right now, the only tried and true way to earn the Bottom Dollar hand cannon is to play Gambit. Unfortunately, there's no direct way to earn it. When it drops is completely random so players will need to continue playing until it eventually appears at the end of a match. For those who aren't too keen on the PvEvP mode, Bungie has done a lot to speed the mode up following the Beyond Light release, so the time investment isn't quite as high as it once was. Still, the fact that it is locked behind this divisive mode may be a non-starter for some players.
Another tip for players would be to acquire and finish as many Gambit bounties as possible as completing them also has a chance to reward the Bottom Dollar. Ultimately, players may need a bit of luck and show patience to unlock this powerhouse weapon. Some players in the community have already saw multiple versions drop after a few games, so the spawn chance doesn't seem to be incredibly small like some weapons like the Anarchy grenade launcher used to be.
The big reason why so many players are looking to get their hands on this weapon is that it is a 120 RPM aggressive frame hand cannon that uses Void energy rounds. From a stats perspective, Bottom Dollar also features way above average impact, range, and recoil meaning it will hit very hard.
However, the big appeal with this weapon is its massive perk pool containing some fan favorites like rampage, killing wind, rapid hit, slide shot and much more. For fans who don't want to raid and may be missing out on all of that loot, this weapon offers a lot of customization and power. Some players in the community has also confirmed that it can roll Fatebringer and Imago Loop perks that were last seen all the way back in the original Destiny.
On the other hand, with such a large perk pool, players may need to grind a bit to find the exact roll that they're looking for. For those who like to target farm for gear, the Bottom Dollar seems like the perfect thing to go after in season 13.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
