Bethesda Xbox Series X Games Receiving FPS Boosts Revealed
Multiple Bethesda games are receiving FPS boosts as they arrive on Xbox Game Pass. With Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda now complete, things are finally officially being put in motion. Along with teases and announcements being made, videos being put forward, and more, a bevy of Bethesda games have entered Xbox Game Pass; and some of them have added performance boosts on Xbox Series X|S.
A remarkable 20 Bethesda Games are now on Xbox Game Pass as a part of the Bethesda welcome party to the Xbox family. That list includes everything from Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind to The Evil Within to the Wolfenstein games.
A part of the excitement in playing any classic title brought back to Xbox Game Pass on the Xbox Series X|S is the idea that it may be boosted with better performance. According to Larry Hryb and Jeff Rubenstein on Hryb's official Xbox Podcast, five Bethesda games are receiving a boost in performance as a part of this Xbox Game Pass deal.
The games selected are some very high-profile ones. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Dishonored: Definitive Edition, and Prey are all receiving frame rate boost options. These games will be able to jump from 30 FPS all the way to up to 60 FPS. If, for whatever reason, players would like to play the games in their original state, they have the option to play the games in that original non-FPS boosted version. For anyone who is interested in playing the Bethesda Xbox Game Pass FPS boosted games, they will need to go through a quick system update.
One of the major factors in the acquisition of Bethesda revolves around Xbox Game Pass. Now that the move is official, Bethesda games are a part of the subscription, which is a huge selling point. And moving forward, having Bethesda games exclusive to Xbox, whether timed or not, is something that Xbox is likely looking into. Games like Halo or Sea of Thieves are certainly good exclusives as a part of Xbox Game Pass, but suddenly the entire Bethesda library being a part of the subscription is a whole new ball game.
It is likely that Xbox and Bethesda will also continue to boost some of the older Bethesda titles on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S. And regardless, it will be very interesting to see what happens moving forward with new IP, games like Starfield, and franchises such as Elder Scrolls.
