The Weirdest Things You Can Actually Do In Cyberpunk 2077

Quirky doesn't begin to describe Night City. For Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red crafted a colorful metropolis with a vast array of bizarre activities which top even the fantastical exploits of their earlier Witcher series.

While some of these encounters occur within the story, V deals with most of them during the various side quests. The weirdness can come out in personal favors for friends, or it might unfold when the player aids some random guy on the street. If V is so willing to help any Average Joe in Night City, though, he/she shouldn't be surprised when things turn strange. After all, this isn't exactly a healthy environment.

10 Attend A Drive-In Movie

As advanced as technology is in Night City, traditional movie screens and theater experiences seem like things of the past. Johnny Silverhand and Rogue Amendiares, geezers that they are, counter this assumption when they go on a date. They know of an old drive-in theater that's perfect for a romantic night.

If V can get the projector working, then these crazy kids can enjoy an exploitation flick in true '80s fashion. The whole experience is a quaint throwback to simpler times, so much so that it's hard to believe it takes place in Night City.

9 Pick Up A Person In A Box

The job is simple: find a specific crate in the bay and transport the cargo to the client. It's a bit suspicious, but it nets V a nice katana. What neither V nor the player expects is a person plopping out of the box. He/she must then carry the guy past a pack of Tyger Claw punks, toss him in the trunk of the car that's waiting, and drive him to the drop-off point.

V later learns that the poor sap was smuggled out of Japan after running afoul of some unscrupulous individuals, but is there really not a more efficient way of going about it? Talk about "special delivery." It feels like the dark side of Amazon Prime.

8 Box A Guy With A Grenade For A Nose

Ozob is a weirdo even by Night City standards. He always seems wired and ready to rumble, living life to the fullest at every second. That's not the half of it, though.

For some reason, he's got a grenade in place of a nose. Yes, really. It's one of the dumbest implants you can imagine for a guy with his extreme lifestyle. V, however, challenges him for the top spot in stupidity. Ozob is a frequent boxer, and players can fight him as part of the Beat on the Brat job. So it was that a mercenary numbskull punched a guy in the face and blew up.

7 Talk A Taxi Down From Suicide

For a supposedly successful AI taxi service, Delamain sure needs a lot of care and attention. When his personality splits into several units that venture out on their own, one of them teeters on the edge of a steep drop. He'd rather end it all than return to the garage with his absentee "father."

V can eventually talk him down by treating him with the same empathy as a human being. Doing so is sure to make players feel equal parts fulfilled and confused.

6 Uncover The Illuminati AI

The Peralezes have overcome many obstacles on their path to public office, turning down corporate donors and corrupt deals alike. What V uncovers, however, goes far deeper than either of them could comprehend.

It turns out that their security firm is not only spying on them, but they've helped a mysterious party get into the politicians' brains, influencing their actions and even affecting their memories. Players learn nothing else except that this individual seems adept at controlling world events this way. The only explanation given is Johnny hearing about rogue AIs back in the day. It's a scary thought and prime ammunition for conspiracy theorists. Just don't let any modern politicians get their hands on it.

5 Witness A Lover's Spat In Cyberspace

Johnny Silverhand and Alt Cunningham had some unresolved issues when last they saw each other, and those issues apparently didn't stop with death. Now that he's an engram and she's a bunch of neural data, you'd think that their reunion would be warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

As soon as V enters cyberspace, these two start bickering like the last fifty years never happened. The merc repeatedly has to cut in to keep the conversation on track. Technology is supposed to make things more efficient. So much for that. Instead, enjoy seeing a bunch of petty pixels arguing.

4 Swim Through An Underwater Town

Laguna Bend was one of the only towns in the Badlands, housing a tight-knit community and small-town charm. That was until the suits declared it would be used as a reservoir. Now, the whole place is underwater.

Diving down to this place with Judy Alvarez, who grew up here, is a somewhat haunting experience. As you inspect the various buildings and objects, she explains how the residents' protests fell on deaf ears and the people were forced to abandon their homes and businesses. It's an ominous tale about the little guy being left out to dry (no pun intended).

3 Let Silverhand Take Over

Everyone knows Johnny can be a colorful character. Sadly, V seems to forget that. To help the washed-up rock star reconnect with Rogue, he gives Silverhand the wheel. Surprise, surprise. He goes about it in the most indirect way possible.

Partying hard, having sex with strangers, and getting a spontaneous tattoo are just a few things that Johnny ropes V into. They say that you only live once. Silverhand already had that mindset when he was alive. Now that he's gotten a second chance, that mentality only intensifies.

2 Have Neural Sex In A Tank

Most missions with the hot-headed Panam Palmer involve shootouts and fortress assaults. Stealing the Basilisk tank eventually lets V pilot the vehicle with the wayward nomad. What starts as a destructive power fantasy, though, can potentially go one step further.

The brain-based controls of the Basilisk necessitate two people to prevent mental overload. This also means that the two drivers have a neural link and share their senses. Going down the romance road with Panam encourages her to...experiment with touch. One thing leads to another, and the two misfits find a new use for their new toy. It's an undeniably fun moment, one that needs to be in Pacific Rim at some point.
