Epic Games Giving Away 3 Free Games Next Week | Game Rant

The Epic Games Store switched around its weekly free offerings earlier today, removing Tales of the Neon Sea and replacing it with 3 out of 10: Season TwoThe interactive animated sitcom will be available from today until April 15, giving players wanting to claim the game a week to head over to the PC store and redeem their copy.

As always for the promotion, the switch-over also brings news on what's next for The Epic Games Store's weekly freebies, with the company announcing that it will be offering players a whopping 3 free games starting April 15.

The titles up for grabs will be Deponia: The Complete Journey, Ken Follett's The Pillars of Earth, and The First Tree. Deponia is likely the biggest name of the bunch, with Daedlic Entertainment's cult-classic point and click adventure managing to cultivate a passionate fanbase when it dropped back in 2012. The game takes place in a version of the world that's degenerated into a trash heap, with the rich and famous living in a floating city far above those unfortunate enough to be stuck below. Players assume the role of Rufus who, after meeting a woman from the overworld, hatches a daring plan to escape his life in the garbage heap and venture to the city above. Along the way, they'll have to complete puzzles, interact with NPCs, and investigate the game's eccentric world.

In the same vein as Deponia, Ken Follett's The Pillars of Earth is also a point-and-click adventure game, adapting Ken Follett's book of the same name. The game itself takes place in 12th century England, following three different protagonists as they strive to build a cathedral against overwhelming odds. The title allows players to change the events of the famous story through weighty moral decisions, altering the fates of its characters, while also offering a unique 2D style and 200 hand-painted backgrounds.

Finally, The First Tree is a serene, 3D adventure game that puts players in the role of a fox looking for her family. Along the way, they'll uncover both the tale of the majestic creature and that of a young boy connecting with his estranged father, with both stories interweaving throughout the experience. The game aims to be a reflective tale, seeing players explore striking environments as they dwell on its introspective themes.

All three games will be available on April 15 and will be redeemable until they're removed from the promotion on April 22. The Epic Games Store joins both Microsoft and Sony in offering an array of free games this month, with PS Plus subscribers getting Oddworld: Soulstorm and Day's Gone, while Games with Gold owners get Vikings: Wolves of Midgard and Truck Racing Championship.
