Pocket Bravery Fighting Game Revealed Ahead of Crowdfunding Campaign
Outside of a niche within the fighting game community, the name Pocket Bravery may not be familiar. The fighting game from the Brazilian team at Statera Studio has turned some heads with its early gameplay teasers and crisp pixel art. Now Statera is ready to reveal Pocket Bravery in full.
This Friday, Statera released its first full trailer for Pocket Bravery to help build interest in the game ahead of its planned crowdfunding launch on Indiegogo. The Indiegogo campaign will also coincide with the release of Pocket Bravery's open beta.
Pocket Bravery's Indiegogo trailer offers a fast-paced sampling of the kind of fighting game action players will be able to expect from the game. Four playable characters are featured in the trailer: Nuno, Sebastion, Hadassa, and Ndidi. Each character has their own unique style, including an elemental flair to their attacks, which help convey the severity of combinations and attacks. As many as eleven total characters have previously been teased by Statera, but perhaps aren't ready to be showcased.
Each character also appears to represent a different nation or region, judging by the diversity of their fashion and their individual stages. This is in line with the games Statera says are influences for Pocket Bravery, which include "90s classics" like Street Fighter and The King of Fighters. Both franchises highlight characters based on their nationalities.
As for Pocket Bravery's crowdfunding campaign, the Indiegogo page has yet to officially launch. The game does have an Indiegogo landing page, however, where interested fighting game fans can sign up to receive more information on Pocket Bravery's campaign. As noted, an open beta will be a big part of the campaign's launch, so it's likely just a matter of time until Statera gets everything ready to share.
Pocket Bravery is currently in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
