Call of Duty: Warzone Developers Buff Cold War Optics | Game Rant

Weapon accuracy is vital to the success of any Call of Duty: Warzone player hoping to score kills. While many weapons come with a default sight, players often employ alternative options in their personalized loadouts. That is part of why the new buff to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War optics is exciting to many in the Call of Duty: Warzone community.

When fans received the newest Call of Duty: Warzone update, they saw adjustments to the various optics for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons. Following to the initial port, these guns felt out of place, but this update to the optics has improved them, making them feel natural to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare engine. This is a small quality-of-life fix that has made a massive difference.

Several optics were changed, but the biggest update was to the Axial Arms 3x, Royal & Cross 4x, and SUSAT Multizoom, which each received a rework for clarity. This offers a more competitive experience for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons and opens up a new door in loadout options. The LW3 Tundra also received an optic adjustment as the lens has been altered to reduce fisheye lens effects. In a set of pictures, Twitter user JGOD showcased the optics improvements and said it made a "huge difference."

Visibly, there is a difference between the two optic images that is more than just visual zoom. The recoil of the gun caused the original set-up to be difficult to aim for all types of players. Call of Duty: Warzone fans rely on weapon accuracy, and to have an optic only increase aiming difficulty was a long-running problem.

Many fans are already commenting on the post, sharing details on how they would use these modifications. Loadout ideas that were previously shunned due to the meta have become viable with a simple fix. For many fans, this is the level of improvement that Call of Duty: Warzone desperately needed.

There are still many other issues that Call of Duty: Warzone is dealing with. Despite that, many fans in the comments believe this is the beginning of a shift in developer responses. With fans watching closely for more hidden secrets in the patch notes, players are ready to bring new precision to their favorite firearms.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
