Genshin Impact: Ridge Watch Domain Guide | Game Rant
In Genshin Impact, one of the central ways for characters to increase their damage output and ability effectiveness is via the game's artifact system. While Genshin Impact players are able to obtain low-level artifacts from treasure chests scattered across the map, the majority of the high-level artifacts players obtain will be from the various domains.
With the launch of the 1.5 update, miHoYo has added the Ridge Watch domain for players to test their strength and grind for two newly added artifact sets that compliment the current Zhongli banner and the upcoming Eula banner. Both the Pale Flame and Tenacity of Milith artifact sets have extremely useful set bonuses that make them a must-have for players lucky enough to have pulled Zhongli or are planning to pull for Eula.
With the Tenacity of Milith artifact set, players can obtain a two-set bonus that increases the character's health by 20% and a four-set bonus that increases party member's attack by 20% and shield strength by 30% when an element skill hits an opponent. The Pale Flame set grants players a two-set bonus of a 25% physical attack increase and a four-set bonus of 9% attack increase for seven seconds when an elemental skill hits an opponent.
Players can find the Ridge Watch domain south of Dawn Winery. For players who have not discovered the domain yet, the fastest way to reach it is by porting to the Entombed City waypoint and traveling north along the border of Dragonspine.
In the level 1-3 difficulty of the domain, players will have to contend with Small/Large Pyro Slimes in addition to Hillichurl berserkers and Blazing/Rock Mitachurls. As a result, these variants will require players to come equipped with either cryo or hydro- element DPS characters.
In the level 4 variant of the domain, players will have their skills tested as they will be forced to face one Hydro and Electro Geovishap simultaneously. Due to the enemy's erratic attack patterns that deal significant AOE damage, players would be well advised to have at least one Geo character in their party for shielding purposes. While Zhongli is ideal for this domain, F2P players can opt to utilize Noel if she is sufficiently leveled.
Another reason why players will want to have a Geo character equipped in their party is due to the domain's Ley Line disorder which deals a shockwave to players every time they hit an enemy protected by a shield. As a result, having Geo characters that make quick work of enemy shields while protecting themselves from AOE damage makes this an ideal combo.
After completing the domain, players must use 20 original resin in order to claim their rewards. Additionally, players can also use condensed resin which will double the rewards they receive upon completion.
Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, and PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
