Disney Parks' TikTok Reveals First Look At Loki At The Avengers Campus
With Marvel Studios' Loki shaping up to be one of the best Phase 4 titles so far, interest in the Asgardian trickster has been at an all-time high. In response to the positive reception, Disney has ramped up its marketing for the hit TV series with all sorts of time travel-themed goodies for fans to indulge in. Disney Parks, in particular, has announced a brand-new Loki attraction at its recently unveiled Avengers Campus, and it's sure to get everyone geeking out.
Earlier this month, Disney Parks officially confirmed that it will be introducing a novel meet-and-greet experience that ties into the events in Loki. The God of Mischief will be traversing the park grounds, interacting with visitors, and causing trouble along the way. However, he will not be in his typical green get-up. Given that he is now a prisoner of the Time Variance Authority, he will instead be wearing a khaki jumpsuit with the recognizable orange TVA insignia on the front.
Disney Parks teased the new look on their Tik Tok account, hinting that fans may see "different sides of Loki as you've never seen him before." Meet-and-greet experiences are nothing new at Disney Parks. For years, Disney resorts have featured live actors in costume as some of their most popular characters, adding new ones like Brave's Merida and Frozen's Anna and Elsa as they come. However, the Loki attraction will be the first time that the company will have a character evolve in real-time with an ongoing TV series.
In addition to Loki, a bunch of other familiar names from the MCU films will be making regular appearances at Avengers Campus. Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Black Widow, and even Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, have already been seen roaming the grounds on social media. Now, with Loki in the mix, visitors can certainly expect a lot more mischief and surprises to occur throughout the park.
Avengers Campus officially opened at Disney California Adventure on June 4 after a year-long delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering the circumstances, the grand opening was a success, with Anthony Mackie and Paul Rudd even making surprise appearances.
While the park is currently operating at limited capacity, it is set to welcome more visitors on July 1 when it will be able to accommodate more guests inside at once. Of course, if you aren't able to make it out to Avengers Campus, you can still catch Loki on-screen every Wednesday.
Loki is now streaming on Disney Plus.
