'Venom 2' Merchandise Gives Fan A New And Clear Look At Carnage
Venom: Let There Be Carnage merchandise has revealed a closer look at the villain of the upcoming Sony film. This movie will see the psychopathic Carnage take on the titular anti-hero. With the release of the first Venom trailer, many are anticipating a blockbuster-sized fight between the two alien parasites. Venom: Let There Be Carnage was teased all the way back to the first film's release, which had a post-credits type scene where we see Eddie Brock come face to face with Cletus Kasady, who is also known as Carnage.
This news comes from a Twitter account (@TheVenomSite) which shows a blanket/flag-shaped banner with Venom and Carnage looking at each other face to face. There is no confirmation as to what the merchandise will entail but either way, fans are anticipating Carnage's look for this film.
Cletus Kasady (Carnage) is a known serial killer in the marvel universe who bonded with an alien parasite like Eddie Brock (Venom) did. The difference is that Carnage's bond to his symbiote is much stronger than Venom's and with the addition of the host being a killer, it makes that much more of a difference. Carnage is also one of the few Spider-Man villains who kills "for fun" while the others kill out of a way to establish fear or get past those who are in their way.
Not much is known about the Venom 2 plot, but we do know that fans will be getting the much-anticipated fight between the two aliens. As to where this takes the universe, only time will tell. Many want to see Venom crossover with Tom Holland's Spider-Man but with a villain like Carnage, one might wonder if Disney is hesitant on bringing him over to their world.
Carnage is often ranked as many fans' favorite villain as he's sadistic, twisted, and often shown to be downright evil. He crosses the line that many won't no matter how "evil" they are considered. Carnage's allure is similar to that of Homelander from the comic book TV series The Boys, in that every time he's on the screen you never know what's going to happen.
For others, the killing may be off-putting. If a villain does evil acts without any reason or empathetic incentive then fans will have a hard time wanting to side with them. Hopefully, the director does a good job at adding layers to Carnage's incentives, even if they don't justify his actions it's more compelling to see the reasoning behind the villain's madness.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be in theaters on September 24, 2021.
