Destiny 2 Player Customizes Guardian to Look Like Power Rangers Megazord
Destiny 2 is one of the most played games out there, and also one of the biggest around. As such, it doesn't come as a surprise that every year Bungie adds new cosmetic items and events based on the seasonal holidays, such as the Festival of the Lost for Halloween, and the Dawning for Christmas. These events are always a great time to play together, be it with friends or random players through groups formed online, and they often are about sharing things, getting loot, and making memes.
Bungie's looter shooter is no stranger to memes, like the recent addition of the Honk Mask with the aforementioned Festival of the Lost. The celebration began yesterday at the game's weekly reset with an event Destiny 2 players can start at the Tower by speaking with Eva Levante, and it consists of diving into Haunted Lost Sectors and other activities in order to claim sweet loot and candy. This year, Destiny 2's Haunted Forest is not returning, likely due to the vaulting of Mercury and its assets last year, with Beyond Light, so the Haunted Lost Sectors are something many players were looking forward to.
Of course, another big aspect of Destiny 2's seasonal holiday events is that they bring new cosmetics every time, while also having past ones return in the store for either Bright Dust or Silver. A Reddit user by the name of QuintillionthDiocese shared their new look for Festival of the Lost, which is incredibly similar to the Power Rangers Megazord. The look is achieved by combining leg armor that shaders asymmetrically with the new Titan Dino armor set, called Technosaurus.
The resemblance with the Megazord is uncanny, and the fact that this is a Titan set is all the more fitting. Many players are excited about the Dino armor sets coming to Destiny 2, and they were actually voted for by the community during a poll earlier this year, with the other option having been Monster sets. QuintillionthDiocese's new look is the prime example of how Destiny 2 players embrace the memes that are brought about every now and then, and Bungie fully supports this by doing the same.
This year's Festival of the Lost finally uses the Ascendant Lens that was initially introduced last year, so that players who own the item can redeem extra rewards from Mara Sov. This is further proof that Bungie has been planning things for Destiny 2 for a long time, and it bodes very well for the content introduced with next year's The Witch Queen expansion.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
