New Valorant Map Ascent Leaks | Game Rant
Valorant's closed beta is available now and is increasingly popular, based on early Twitch viewership. Riot is wasting no time taking advantage of the attention on Valorant, already releasing one new playable Agent. It seems more new content is coming soon, too, as Valorant's potential next map appears to have been leaked.
Reddit user UlfricTheThird posted screenshots of several datamined Valorant assets that they say reference the name "Ascent." The map is supposedly set in Italy and is based on Venice, with canals and gondolas. There are also assets for a pizzeria, a hotel, and also what might be a baguette.
The final part of the leak is a minimap that reveals the full layout of the Ascent map. There are event locations marked for sites A and B. Relatively little can be insinuated from the minimap, but it looks to have a larger amount of small rooms and corners than Valorant's other maps.
There's no information regarding when Ascent will be released for Valorant. Odds are that since files are already being datamined, it's close to release. It could be put out within the next several weeks as Riot builds out its closed beta and moves toward Valorant's full launch this summer. Alternatively, Valorant may hold new maps back as players get used to the current selection. Stay tuned for more information soon.
