Valorant Leak Hints at Team Deathmatch Mode | Game Rant
Valorant's closed beta continues to be a striking success as more players are invited via the Twitch drop system. The recent addition of a Competitive Mode has only increased excitement for the game, as players rush to climb Valorant's ranks. But Riot doesn't seem to be done yet, as a new leak hints at a Team Deathmatch mode being worked on.
The Valorant Leaks Twitter account posted some script assumedly datamined from the game's source files. The short script assigns the name "TDM" as a game mode and then references a file that explicitly references Team Deathmatch Mode in the Game Modes folder. If accurate, there's clear evidence that Riot is evaluating a Valorant Team Deathmatch mode.
Team Deathmatch is a simpler game mode than Valorant's base bomb placement and defusal mode. It involves players eliminating enemies on the opposing team and respawning if they die, or at least that's the traditional deathmatch. Perhaps Riot's ideas for Team Deathmatch in Valorant will be a bit more inspired.
To be clear, there's been no official announcement that Riot is going to bring Team Deathmatch to Valorant. No source is provided for the leak, meaning that it may be unreliable or faked entirely. That said, Valorant is in closed beta still and new features and additions are absolutely expected before the game eventually launches. Expect more information from Riot Games soon.
