Cyberpunk 2077: Where to Get Legendary Pain Editor | Game Rant
Cyberpunk 2077 gives players a lot of ways to get things for free, but they tend to be lower quality. For example, players can get the iconic Mantis Blades early and for free, but they will be the Rare version. Unfortunately, this isn't the case with the Pain Editor, as there is only one way to attain the Legendary mod.
For those that haven't delved too deep into Cyberpunk 2077's cybernetic enhancement options players can install Cyberware into their character in order to provide powerful bonuses. One of the more sought after Immune System modifications is the Legendary Pain Editor, as it simply decreases the amount of damage that players take.
To get the Legendary Pain Editor, players are going to have to shell out some cash, so it would be wise to read up on tips to make money fast in Cyberpunk 2077. There is only one version of this mod and it is only sold by one Ripperdoc in all of Night City. It's also one of the items in the game that players can completely miss if they make the wrong choices beforehand.
To buy the Legendary Pain Editor, players need to find the Ripperdoc named Fingers. He can be found in Japantown near the Cherry Blossom Market, and sells a variety of unique Cyberware. After finding him (his building has a big pink sign that says "Fingers MD" out front), players need to navigate over to the trade menu to find the upgrade. It will cost a whopping 28,000 Eurodollars, so players should be certain it's something they want, but this is the only way to get the upgrade.
There are a few things to note about this upgrade in particular. First, players with a Cool stat of less than 16 will be unable to use the mod, so unless they are planning on upgrading V's Cool substantially, it's not worth spending the money on. The second thing is that Fingers can actually refuse to sell anything to V based on the choices the player made in an earlier quest.
While searching for Evelyn, players have to interrogate Fingers to learn information about her location. During this scene, players have the option to punch the character, and though it is very tempting, it's better not to. Despite Fingers being an absolutely sleezy human being, punching him will cause him to never sell any of his wares to V. Since this is the only place to get items like this and the Epic Fortified Ankles Cyberware, players should resist the urge if they are able.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, Stadia, and Xbox One, and later on PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
