Destiny 2: Vault of Glass Hidden Chest Locations Guide
Destiny 2’s Vault of Glass has returned but not all of its hidden chests have made it to Destiny 2. There are four hidden chests in the Destiny 2 version of the Vault of Glass raid that will complete the Temporal Caches Triumph.
While there are only four hidden chests in Destiny 2's Vault of Glass Raid, one stands out as more difficult than the other three. These four hidden chests will drop raid mods as well as Vault of Glass Raid gear that Guardians have unlocked from in the raid.
Guardians will find the first hidden chest right after the opening encounter. When the Vault door opens up, the first hidden chest will be inside the doorway on the left, not really hidden at all. This will be the easiest hidden chest to find and gives access to a Destiny 2 Vault of Glass Raid Mod fairly quickly.
To find the second hidden chest, Guardians need to take the hidden path after the opening encounter. After going through the main vault door, follow the path to a cliff. The path itself will continue left, but Guardians hunting the hidden chests do not want to follow the path. Instead, Guardians should jump off the cliff facing backwards to find a hole in the wall with the secret path.
Destiny 2 Guardians will want to follow the secret path to a Vex plate used for the Vex Mythoclast Catalyst and then look to the right to find the second hidden chest on a ledge at eye level. Head to the right after looting the chest to continue following the path to the Templar arena. The third hidden chest is in the Gorgon Maze after beating the Templar.
When in the Gorgon Maze, Guardians can claim the third hidden chest in Destiny 2’s Vault of Glass if they complete a simple puzzle: shoot three Vex cubes throughout the Gorgon Maze. This chest is near the entrance of the maze, hidden behind a locked door. This chest only needs one Guardian to unlock the door, so the rest of the Fireteam can hang out at the Gorgon Maze entrance, just don’t alert any Gorgons.
The Guardian that is going to shoot the Vex cubes should be a Hunter with the Omnioculus Exotic, who is familiar with the maze, to have the easiest time completing this puzzle. The Guardian will then start through the maze as normal, stopping at the twin rocks normally used to hide. Turn around to find a Vex cube hiding in a small crack in the wall, shoot it with a sniper, use a smoke bomb, and move through the maze to the slanted rock on the left.
When on the slanted rock, turn around to find the second Vex cube to shoot. From the second cube, use a smoke bomb and jump to the next rock on the left, then jump again to the next rock on the left. From here, the Guardian should be near the exit of the maze.
The last Vex cube is past the exit to the left. The Guardian will want to use invisibility and hold the wall on the left, following it to the next outlook. Looking up and to the right will reveal the third Vex cube. Once the third Vex cube is destroyed, the Guardian will need to make their way back to the entrance to get to the third secret chest in the Vault of Glass.
From the entrance of the Gorgon Maze, Guardians will want to go right into a small cave. Using Destiny 2 Hunter's invisibility will let Guardians sprint through the cave. Hold the right wall all the way through till Guardians come across an open Vex door that holds the third hidden chest. Guardians can now progress through the Gorgon Maze like normal.
The fourth and last hidden chest is right after the jumping puzzle next to the entryway to Atheon’s Throne Room in Destiny 2. When at the very front of the entryway, the hidden chest can be found on a ledge above the first archway, and to the left, Guardians should be able to see its bright blue glow. Once Guardians have opened all four chests, they can claim the Temporal Caches Triumph.
